Initial Setup

Radiant needs macOS Accessibility permission to work. Grant it once during first launch, and you're ready to start using menus right away.

Accessibility Permission

Radiant uses macOS Accessibility permission so it can respond to your hotkeys and mouse buttons no matter which app is in the foreground. Without it, menus won't appear.

Why Accessibility permission is required

Radiant uses Accessibility permission for the following features:

  • Responding to hotkeys from any app
  • Opening menus with mouse buttons
  • Moving and resizing windows
  • Automating key input with macros

Radiant never records or transmits your input.

Granting Permission

  1. Launch Radiant -- a dialog saying "Accessibility permission required" will appear
  1. Click "Open System Settings"

  2. In System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility, turn on the toggle for Radiant

  1. Once permission is granted, Radiant will restart automatically

WARNING

If Radiant doesn't restart automatically after granting permission, restart it manually.

Verifying It Works

After setting up permissions, confirm that Radiant is running correctly.

  1. Check that the Radiant icon appears in the menu bar

  1. Press the default hotkey -- if a menu appears, setup is complete

TIP

If the menu doesn't appear, check that Radiant is enabled in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility.
